Responsible Gaming
Observe: Gambling should remain a form of entertainment, not a way to earn money. Expand: Responsible gaming means planning your play, setting limits, and seeking help early if risks appear. Reflect: calupoh, operating at calupoh-ca.com, supports every player with practical tools, confidential assistance, and evidence-based resources to help you stay in control.
Risk Awareness
Observe: Problem gambling can develop gradually and often shows behavioural, financial, and emotional signs. Expand: Early recognition and self-checks reduce harm. Reflect: Use the indicators and test below to assess your risk and decide next steps.
Common warning signs
- Increasing bet frequency or stakes, chasing losses, or playing longer than planned.
- Thinking about gambling outside play, using gambling to escape stress or negative moods.
- Hiding play from family/friends, borrowing money or selling items to fund play.
- Missing work or social obligations; sleep issues from late-night or continuous sessions.
- Using multiple payment methods after declined deposits; disregarding previous limits.
Quick self-assessment (answer Yes/No)
- I often spend more time or money gambling than I intended.
- I gamble to cope with stress, loneliness, or problems.
- I have tried to cut down but found it difficult.
- I have borrowed money or used funds needed for bills to gamble.
- Gambling has caused arguments or I have hidden it from others.
If you answered "Yes" to two or more, consider using limits now, taking a Time-Out, or speaking to a professional support service listed below.
Limits & Tools
Observe: Pre-commitment limits are proven to reduce overspending and time-on-device. Expand: calupoh provides configurable deposit and time controls that default to a safety-first approach. Reflect: Set conservative limits and adjust only after reflection; increases include a cooling-off period for protection.
Deposit limits (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Go to My Account > Responsible Gaming > Limits on calupoh-ca.com.
- Choose Daily, Weekly, and/or Monthly deposit caps.
- Enter numeric amounts (e.g., Daily: 50; Weekly: 150; Monthly: 500) and click Save.
- Decreases take effect immediately. Increases apply only after a minimum 24-hour cooling-off period and a confirmation screen.
Time spent limits and session reminders
- Enable a Session Timer under My Account > Responsible Gaming (e.g., 30/60/120 minutes).
- Turn on Reality Checks to receive pop-ups showing time played and net result; choose to continue or log out.
Short breaks (Time-Out)
- Open My Account > Responsible Gaming > Time-Out.
- Select a pause of 24, 48, or 72 hours (you can also select up to 7 days).
- Confirm the start time. You will be logged out and cannot deposit or place bets until the Time-Out ends.
Regional compliance note: Cooling-off and limit mechanics align with Canadian safer-gambling best practices. Contact support if you need assistance applying limits across all products.
Self-Exclusion
Observe: Self-exclusion is a stronger measure for sustained risk. Expand: It blocks access to your account for a set period and stops marketing. Reflect: Choose a duration that supports recovery; we will not lift it early.
How to self-exclude (temporary or permanent)
- Go to My Account > Responsible Gaming > Self-Exclusion.
- Select a period: 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, or Lifetime.
- Read the summary of consequences and tick the acknowledgment box.
- Click Confirm; you will be logged out immediately and receive an email confirmation.
- For assistance, contact our team (see Contact & Feedback below).
Consequences and refunds
- You cannot log in, deposit, or place bets during the exclusion.
- We will unsubscribe you from marketing; please also remove our app/shortcuts and consider device/site blockers.
- Any cleared real-money balance can be withdrawn by contacting support; identity and security checks apply. Bonus funds and pending bonuses are canceled.
- We will take reasonable steps to prevent new accounts linked to you. Opening new accounts during exclusion violates our Terms and may result in permanent closure.
- Lifetime exclusions are irreversible. Fixed-term exclusions cannot be shortened but may require an active request to reopen after expiry.
Regional compliance note: calupoh operates platform-level self-exclusion. We are not connected to Canadian provincial self-exclusion registers; consider enrolling in a provincial program in addition to your calupoh self-exclusion (see Support Resources).
Support Resources
Observe: Confidential, free help is available nationwide. Expand: Use local helplines for immediate support and international services for round-the-clock guidance. Reflect: Combining professional help, blocking tools, and limits produces better outcomes.

Help for Family

- Choose a calm time; use "I" statements: "I'm worried about how gambling is affecting you/us."
- Avoid blame or ultimatums; focus on observed impacts (missed bills, stress, sleep loss).
- Encourage practical steps: set account limits, take a Time-Out or self-exclude, and contact a helpline.
- Protect essentials: separate finances for rent, food, utilities; consider spending caps and alerts.
- Get your own support: Gam-Anon, SMART Family & Friends, or provincial helplines (see above).
- Escalate when needed: consult a psychotherapist or addiction counsellor; in crisis, call emergency services.
